Project role and skills:
Janko Međedović, PhD, senior research associate, will bring his extensive experience in research methodology. Particularly, his statistical and methodological knowledge and background refers to multivariate statistical methods and data analysis, developing new questionnaires and instruments and evaluating their psychometric properties, and conducting qualitative research and focus groups. Moreover, his research work on the psychology of crime, including personality traits in the broadest sense, and environmental characteristics associated with criminal behaviour and restitution, is bringing an added value to the project.
Within the PrisonLIFE project, Janko has the leading role in the evaluation of psychometric properties and validation of the MQPL survey in Serbian. Next, Janko is involved in the cultural adaptation and development of the MQPL survey, both in the preliminary evaluations through the focus group and in its final adaptation. Within the exploratory and comparative study of the PrisonLIFE project, Janko leads an exploration of the relationship between quality of prison life, the Dark Triad and coping styles, followed by an examination of the relationships between coping styles, quality of prison life, self-esteem, aggression and depression, as well as testing various complex models using structural modelling analysis. Janko is involved in various promotion activities and dissemination of scientific findings resulting from the project.
